In a landscape where diverse, game-changing solutions are the norm, it’s rewarding to receive credit where credit is due — especially when it comes from that rare breed of industry leaders and early adopters known as the Townies.

From initial nomination to the award itself, the Townie Choice Awards conducts a process that seamlessly captures the unique aspects of new technology and gives winners a forum to be recognized as technological movers and shakers.

With their annual vote on those peer-reviewed items they just can’t live without, the Townies recognize the most reliable and reputable products in dentistry. Now in its 15th year, the Townie Choice Awards have recognized thousands of innovators and companies. The awards are always relevant to the changing face of dentistry, celebrating new products that make up dentistry’s growing technology landscape.

When the Townie Choice Awards began in 2003, there was only one category for Lasers. In that first year, BIOLASE competed with itself for top prize with its Waterlase and Diolase lasers. Waterlase is proud to have won a Townie Choice Award in one or more laser categories every year since – something that no other laser manufacturer has done.

Dentistry has come a long way in the last 15 years, baby. Patient-friendly technologies like digital x-rays, dry field isolation, 3D imaging, and lasers have become the norm. There have been changes in the Townie Choice Award categories and manufacturers, but one thing remains the same: BIOLASE lasers. It’s what the Townies rely on in their practices, and it’s an honor to be selected by this group of savvy dental visionaries.
